What a nice place!! What a great burger!! The garlic mashed potatoes were fantastic!! The service was good. The atmosphere was good. It's a smaller place. But cozy. The menu is just the right size. From steaks to fish and seafood. To burgers and salads. This place can be hard to find. It's 3/4 of a block off the main road. But you'll be happy when you do find it.

They don't take reservations, even for a group of 8 on a Saturday night. Restraunt is not easy to find, next to townhouses in a paking lot. We arrived about 3:45 and were seared by 4:20. Most of the group order chicken dishes, an one has the walleye, and another the shrimp special. Served with choice of 7 layer salad, Ceasar salad or mushroom bisque. Also includes potato and sugar snap peas. The service was good. Food was delicious and fresh. By the time we left bar srea packed with folks having to wait for 1.5 - 2 hours. For that reason would not go back.

This building has some history, hence the name it’s an old farm house that now serves good food and drink. It is kind of a hidden place to those that do not know the area as it is tucked back in the lot amongst other businesses. The bar is small so be prepared to stand while you wait for a table. (Worth the wait) Kid friendly and they give a basket of toys for the kids to play with. Decent amount of parking.

Picture don't do it justice. I ordered 22 oz steak I cut it down the middle so that why it looks a little funny. It was juicy and no A1 sauce was put on this baby. The yummy crisp onion on top this just melted in my mouth. My six year old had eaten most her fries before I could even take the picture she didn't need to catch up she said they were delicious. And of course she ate half my steak. Garlic mashed potatoes nice smooth creamy oh I'm just craving it as I'm thinking about it. And their soup was delicious it was this Italian sausage at first my daughter turned her nose up on it because it looked green but she took a bite of it and she wanted to steal it from me.She did. Inside was nice and cozy and I wouldn't have found it if I wouldn't have been following my GPS why because I didn't think the house was the restaurant and let me just say now I know where it is I will definitely be back again it is worth a trip. Staff was friendly and nice they gave my daughter toys to play with while we waited and we didn't wait too long for our food. I am going back with my husband for a date night. This was a cozy little gem I am glad to find. Oh and the carrot cake was just smooth and my mouth . Which again my 6-year-old took it from me and devoured it. We went right on the dot at 4pm on a Tuesday had the place to ourselves for a minute . Then came people. The people that came were just as friendly as the staff. I agree with there sign that basically say coming as strangers leave as friends. If you're coming with a large group call make a reservation is my suggestion. Don't be afraid to try there special.

The farmstead was our first really enjoyable dining experience since moving to the area this week. The restaurant was a bit confusing to find in the dark since the only visible sign was on the street and it’s located a bit back in the corner of that turn off behind another building. The hallway entrance was small and cramped. That being said. This place was very hospitable and the food was amazing. Definitely going to recommend it to family when they come visit the new place. It’s a very cozy and cute little place with delicious plates.

Farmstead is Cedarburg's Hidden Gem...Absolutely top notch every time I've been! The service & ambience is phenomenal, only surpassed by the quality & execution of food! I would sincerely rate it easily in the Top of my favorite restaurants in the area. They have high quality steaks, comfort food and are not pretentious. As a 4 time restaurant owner & Executive Chef, I don't throw my opinion around lightly... if you haven't yet been. GO! On my last visit I enjoyed a perfectly cooked bone-in ribeye, mashed potatoes, onion straws and veg. The wine selections were great and I even had the pleasure of meeting the owner at the bar. This was a great place for celebrating our anniversary. We got there on a good night with no waiting for a table. The staff was friendly and the food came in good time. The steak was delicious and the chicken meal also was cooked in a great tasting way. Their potato fries are amazing. The soup was also very yummy. The atmosphere is quaint and rustic.
